I looked everywhere for a top like this in white after buying one in black at REI - just for everyday wear in cooler weather. The zip feature enables me to unzip if the sun comes out and it's warm or I'm exercising, and then zip up when it's colder. Love the top, love the fit (can wear it over winter underwear), not so crazy about the thumbhole type sleeves - not needed just for hiking/walking. But I'm thrilled with the color and fit and material - can layer as needed. On most of these types of tops, the sleeves are too tight all the way up, even with slim arms, (I'm 5"8") but this is very comfortable.

I am tired of wool! It doesn't dry quickly. This Butter Zippity keeps me warm, wicks excellently, dries quickly, and fits beautifully. It is as its name says: buttery soft. I had one for many years and it helped up well. I just bought a new one which has slightly longer sleeves and the zip pocket. Perfect! I will buy more of these.

Love the fabric and the fit! Bought it to wear as a turtleneck for skiing, but found that it makes a fabulous, sexy top to wear with slim jeans and a great western belt!!!!

Unfortunately I didn't get to try this piece as the fit was way off, so I listed quality and function as average which in no way represents the truth either way. I'm 5'9" 145lbs with an athletic build. This piece along with the Tephra LS just doesn't fit right. My arms are more muscular so the sleeves are extremely tight while the torso looks to be about 2 sizes too big. Usually I can deal with a little tightness and/or looseness in areas but this was so extreme I had to return it.

I love the fabric and style. My worry about the top is that it is short in the torso (fine for me at 4'10") and the upper arms are very tight. I am slender so I was quite surprised. I purchased 2 other tops from a retailer and had the same experience. Great torso fit, very binding in the upper arms.

This shirt is loose fitting and short in the torso. The sleeves are tight and very long... a little too long. I wear a small in most MH tops but the xs fits great in this loose fitting style.
This is a great shirt for slightly cool days where a long sleeve shirt is desirable.

Fit for Butter Zippity has changed. I should have ordered a small, but ordered the medium as I have in the past. Am 5'4", 132# and usually wear a medium in the Butter Zippity. I XC ski and like to layer and am forever "dressing and undressing". Hate being hot... Love the sleeve fit, but body was too wide, so took it in and now it fits well. Ordered red onion, a lovely color, and it goes well with my new Lodown ruby colored vest.

Love the butter zippity! It's soft, cozy & warm. Great for a brisk jog on a chilly day, running errands around town or kickin' back in front of the fire while I watch the snow fall. Definitely recommend!

Oh my...this Butter Zippity is so soft and cozy that it feels like I'm 'playing' in my pajamas. Bonus that I can wear it as a stand alone casual top, as well as an awesome layer in the backcountry

I've been using this for running in the dark and it's awesome. It even has some reflective material around the zipper. Super comfy, light and breathable. I really want another one!

I love this top. The fabric is very soft and cozy. I wore it on a cold day and it kept me very warm. It is not bulky so its easy to layer. I would definitely recommend this product.

I bought this in a local store that carries Mountain Hardware products. This top was exactly what I was looking for--sporty enough to be active in but nice enough to wear to work or to go to a casual get-together with friends. It fits well (I am 5'5", weigh 135 and I ordered a medium). I will note that the sleeves are very long on me & I have to turn the cuffs up, but I don't mind that. It has shape but doesn't cling in a way that highlights figure flaws--I appreciate that!. I suspect I'll be wearing this shirt a lot!

The Women's Buttery Zippity is a solid light layer- One that will keep you warm but wick moisture away. I found it fit relatively true to size.... A bit wide on the waist and definitely not super fitted through the torso. I ordered a Medium and found it to be a good fit. This is a good shirt for anyone wanting a layer to wear in warm weather or one to put under others.

This is the most amazing sports top ever. It is extremely soft, warm, and stretchy. The colors are right on, I have the green and purple. They're not colors I wear often, but I love to wear color when I work out. These tops move with you very well yet stay fitted, but are not constricting. I love the long sleeves, because I can pull them down for warmth or to block the sun. I wear these religiously 3 seasons/year. I am a true medium, and the medium is perfect. It is a little more fitted around the shoulders and top, with a little more room around the waist area so that it's not fitted all the way down (which I appreciate). I will have to exercise control in not buying more colors!

I have to force myself not to wear this every day for fear of embarrassing myself. I should probably buy it in multiple colors so my friends don't catch on as quickly. It is the softest material I have ever felt! It is light enough and breathes well so I don't overheat, but can be zipped up or layered to keep you warmer. Very versatile, cute, and did I mention how soft it is??

the fabric really makes the style, it is super soft and and durable. After several washes it is still the same softness. However, the sleeves are too long and the thumb holes not necessary for such a lightweight piece

Here's the ultimate stamp of approval. No sooner had we unpacked the shirt, but our daughter saw it and said "cool, can I have it?" This is a great shirt for misty day workouts, XC skiing -- and next week's plan -- morning hikes in Kauai!

love it, hubby loves it. very well made. great color (the orangy tomatoe one) long sleeves, but I like long sleeves. a little bit large, but kept the small (5'5" 117) as I have finally realized the xs doesn't like strong shoulders.
