I like this jacket so much I bought one for my girlfriend for her birthday. She loves it, and it fits her nicely. What can I say I was impressed with my mens Drystein II so much it was only fair that she had one too. We both love the stretchy material that is placed in the elbows and shoulder areas. The jacket is fairly easy to access even with a pack on. Now comes the durability test because we have a saying that if its not built out of cast iron she will probably break it. I'll keep u posted in six months of how its holding up to the test.
I would recommend this product.

Mountain Hardwear's Dry Q Elite membrane is revolutionary. I have tried all of the competition's membranes and Mountain Hardwear trumps them all by a mile.
Always wanting to test the limits of my gear I tried to get wet in this jacket and failed. I ran in it, hiked all night in the rain, went snowshoeing, and rolled around in the snow. No sweat, no leaks!
To test it's ability to transfer moister I jumped straight out of the shower and into my jacket. To my amazement, I was almost instantly dry. Who needs a towel?
I took a handful of water and poured it onto the inside of the jacket. You can actually watch the water move through the fabric. Within thirty seconds it no longer felt wet and within a minute there was no evidence of water ever being there.
To top it off this jacket is incredibly windproof. I have never felt any wind. I stuck the fabric up to my car's air conditioner at full blast and could not feel a thing.
This is a hardcore jacket intended for climbing mountains so it wears a little on the long side and has a large helmet compatible hood.
I bought it in the light blue color and as pretty as it is, it gets dirty really fast. I would recommend the black. I bought it for climbing Shasta and thought that the blue would be cooler in the direct sun above treeline. Maybe I need two jackets, one for summits and one for the dirt.
Two things could be improved: the zippers are a little stiff and the hood is a little awkward when you are not wearing a helmet.
Overall, I am a very satisfied customer and actually look forward to taking on sleet, rain, and snow with this jacket. Thank you Mountain Hardwear!
I would recommend this product.
