I am a big Mountain Hardwear fan, so when it began to snow I rushed online to get a couple of new accessories for the coming winter. I thought this hat was cuter than the other selections of slouchy hats this season, and when it arrived it did not disappoint. It does fit a little smaller than a normal hat, but not uncomfortable, rather snugly such that it doesn't slide back on your head like my other hats of the same style. They offer a larger size to the Regular though, if you're worried about that. As far as it's warmth, I'm a little biased because I live in interior Alaska, where your average hats just don't cut it at -40 degrees, but it's very tight knit which helps keep the wind off your head, and as usual, I always wear a buff underneath for another layer of insulation. In the warmer temps of 0 and 10 above, it is a perfectly great standalone hat. One note, the fleece ear-warming band around the bottom could be a little wider.
I would recommend this product.
