The material/construction of these shorts is okay, but the fit is quite off. I ordered a size 8 (I normally buy 8 or 10, I'm 5'7" and 140lbs) and they were huge, couldn't even keep them up. I would say they feel like a 14 or so. If you want these shorts try them on in store or size down a bit.
I do not recommend this product.

Love the shorts - especially the fabric. However, they are too short for my style. Should have ordered the knickers. Also, I ordered a size 6, which I am always a true 6, but it was way too big - about two sizes too big. Will try the knickers, as I love the fabric and look.
I would recommend this product.

I love the shorts. The fabric is great - very functional and the styling excellent. Unfortunately the sizing is completely different than any of the previous Mountain Hardwear shorts or pants I have purchased. The two size 4 shorts I ordered were huge. I measured the waist band at 34 inches. Previously purchased Mountain Hardwear size 4 pants and shorts measure at between 30 1/4 and 31 inches at the waist band (consistently over at least a five year period) . It is unfortunate that many people will be unable to wear these shorts due to the large sizing.
I would recommend this product.
