Amazing jacket, fit is perfect but the sleeves are a bit long. Very big and puffy. Do buy if you want warm, not a sleek around town look though. I love the cuff around the neck and the wrist cuffs, I don't have to worry about a scarf with this jacket.
I would recommend this product.

First, I want to reference the other review. Yes it is lightweight, but it has a great amount of loft. I would say the loft is about double the loft of the Ghost Whisperer.
I bought this for a winter backpacking trip coming up for the nights when I'm not active and the temps are in the single digits.
So this is just the preliminary review, will update you :)
I have used it during the chilly windy days of single digits and it has been wonderful. Pop it on over a sweater and I'm warm with minimal activity at about 10 degrees F.
One of my favorite features that was unsuspected is that there are thumbholes! That are comfortable either under your gloves or on top of a thin pair of gloves. Also, the hood is wonderfully adjustable to accommodate a helmet or cinch up when not wearing a helmet. Next, there are two interior mesh pockets on either side that could fit ski goggles, I stash my gloves in there. Finally, it zips all the way up to my nose, and there is soft fabric in the front by the skin of my face.
I bought the "red violet" color since I simply did not want a plain black jacket. FYI it is bright pink! I'm not really a huge fan of pink, but this jacket is so wonderful it doesn't really bother me.
And if you are wondering about sizing I am 5'10" and 150 lbs. typically wear size small shirt and the medium fits great. (I usually go up for proper length, but it is not baggy by any means)
I would recommend this product.

Beautiful jacket but don't ignore the lightweight factor

I'm writing this review based on trying on the product and talking to a representative from MH, **I have not tested the product in the field.**
I love my old MH Sub Zero down jacket but I needed a notch up in warmth for Denali this spring so I ordered the new Nilas. The first thing that struck me was that this jacket is thin! I made the mistake of ignoring the fact this is described as a 'lightweight' jacket. It might have warm 850 fill down but there's just so little of it - it's not the thick, puffy down parka I'm used to. A representative from MH confirmed that this jacket is up to the tough standards of big mountains like Denali and Himalayan peaks 'when used with the proper layering system underneath.'
Final word to buyers: beware that this is truly a lightweight down jacket. It might work wonderfully at altitude but I didn't want to take my chances. I returned the jacket. It's a beautiful jacket with all the features that I love but as I won't be running up mountains like Uli Steck I feel this lightweight down jacket is not enough for me.
