I wear this at work, XC skiing, hiking and biking when temps get below freezing and it works well down into the 20s F. It is in fact buttery-soft and well designed.

I have several balaclavas that I wear under my helmet for alpine skiing and this is by far the most comfortable one. As a Ski Patroller in the East, we get a mix of snow, rain, sleet and blown snow from the snow guns. I like the protection in the mix of conditions. This balaclava is nice soft protection for my face and neck. I love it.

Great piece, you can cover your mouth and nose or not. I wear it everyday I ski. Love it.

Great cold weather accessory

I live in the north and dislike being cold under any circumstances. I utilize this accessory when temps get near freezing at a work site, XC skiing, hiking or biking. It functions well under a ski hat or hard hat. The material is indeed buttery-soft material and will keep you warm down into the 20s F.
