This beanie cap is ultra-lightweight, but it has excellent windproofing qualities. I use this cap primarily for running and other active outdoor activities. I wear a 7.25 (57.7cm) fitted baseball cap, and this beanie fits just right. It completely covers my ears and extends below my brow.
I would recommend this product.

When i first opened up the box, I thought that hat was too thin of material. It looked heavier and even though reviews said it was light, I expected it to be heavier than it is. That being said, the fleece band around the ears is very warm and the hat will do well in snow or rain. The sizing is good and material is top quality. My head tends to get hot and sweat while doing active things outside like skiing, climbing, etc and yet my ears can still be cold. This hat is perfect to cut the wind and snow while keeping your ears warm and not feeling the rest of your head is too hot. It will fit perfect under a helmet as well. Just keep in mind that this hat is THIN and lightweight. If you are looking for a warm winter hat for your entire head, or during inactivity you will probably want to look at the Micro Fleece or the Dome Perignon.

I have the Effusion Power Jacket and love it, so I was looking forward to this, but it's too tight. My head is a true Medium (Regular), but that size made me feel like the skin was being peeled from my eyeballs. If you get the right size, you'll have a nice hat. I find the older, somewhat similar Transition hat to be sized correctly.
I would recommend this product.

This is a great hat. I don't usually like wearing a hat, but for running in cold/wet weather, this hat is warm enough and light enough.

I got this hat because I needed a hat that would allow me to run and sweat but also be warm at the same time. This hat does the trick. I sweat a lot and this hat does a great job at wicking it away. Old hats I’d get done and there would be more sweat on my head than when I don’t wear a hat. With this hat my sweat is the same if not less than when I get done running without a hat. This hat provides ample protection and warmth while active. Only down side is the hat does not provide warmth following in-activity. Of course if it did then it would be to hot when active. Overall this is a great hat for active people!!!

My new favorite hat!!!

I currently own the micro dome and the dome Perignon. I love the micro dome for mild weather casual wear, and the Perignon for nasty, cold, windy conditions. The Effusion dome works for everything in between. This cap is amazing! It is totally waterproof, completely windproof and very breathable. The micro fleece over the ears is a great touch. Every time I use it (whether hiking or biking) I am amazed that my hair is totally dry when finished. I don't get wet from the rain or from sweat. Oh, and it stretches! Amazing. I have not used it in a heavy sweat activity like running so I don't know if it would breathe through that. If I had to chose one hat for my be-all hat, this would be it!
