I have very few complaints about this jacket, and those are not serious. I'll get to those further down. What I really like about this jacket:
The hood is my favorite. It can be adjusted to fit great with a helmet or without. I've never had such a hood, but I've also never had such an expensive jacket.
Everything else, sizing, look, fabric, zippers, are good or great, except for what's noted below:
-As noted by Bdemelo1027, the sizing is on the large side, though on me it's not as overall too large as on him. There is quite a bit of volume in the body, but that could be nice for extra insulation, and it didn't cause a functional problem. The length of the sleeves, width of the shoulders, etc. was good for me. I am 6'1", 175 lbs.
-The inner cuffs with thumb holes are unnecessary, and get in the way a bit. I would suggest instead putting a little elastic in the outer cuff, and using that and the velcro to secure it to the wrist.
-The outside pockets will fall under a hip belt or harness.
-This is a perfectionist point, but I think the zipper on the lift pass pocket is larger than necessary. It could be the same size as the pit zips and still be durable enough.
Having only worn it for one season, 25 days, I cannot comment on long term durability.
Overall, a great jacket with only a few small drawbacks.
I would recommend this product.

I was a little disappointed because the quality of Mt Hardware is great but the fit was terrible. I am 6'3" about 200 pounds in good shape and even with a down jacket layer on, this jacket was too large in the mid section. I have a hard shell from Mt Hardware from the year before and it fits perfect. I am not sure what happened to their sizing but my buddy had the same issue. Might want to consider creating tall sizes like Eddie Bauer, so you can have a medium tall which would be slimming and still fit.
I do not recommend this product.

I just received the jacket, so haven't had a chance to see how it performs yet (although I am confident it will perform as advertised). I plan to use it as a skiing/snowboarding shell, my winter jacket around town, and a waterproof hiking jacket all seasons (which is why I bought the lightest weight one).
I am writing about the fit because I read a lot of reviews on Mountain Hardwear's Dry.Q Elite jackets saying that the fit was not right. This Girdwood jacket does not have that problem, the fit is good. I ordered a medium. I am 6'1" and about 175 pounds, size 32/34 pants, and wear a 38 or 40 jacket. The medium fits very well. The arms are the right length, including the thumb-holed powder cuffs at the wrist. The length of the jacket is also correct, and it is not too big around the midsection. I tried it on with an undershirt, and a thicker second layer, and still didn't feel jammed in the jacket. I think I could fit a third if need be, on a really cold (below 0) ski day. The hood is large to accomodate a helment, but if you adjust it down it should work without a helment.
I would also comment that the material feels very nice. I have never owned a premium jacket, like Gore-Tex, before. So while this is not a true soft shell--you still get some of the rasping/crinkling feeling of a hard-shell--it feels very comfortable and seems to move nicely.
I would recommend this product.
