I ordered this jacket after shredding my Patagonia down jacket on some briars while hiking. The tougher fabric is what drew me to it since I spend a lot of time canoeing and hiking through swamps duck hunting.
The jacket is very warm and so far has proven to be durable as well. I went for a bushwack hike the other day through our swamp and ran into several briar patches. Not a single tear. I also really like the adjustable cuffs.
My only complaint is that it is a little big. I am a big guy (6'2", 230 lbs.) and the XL is on the bulky side.
I would recommend this product.

Absolutely what I was in need of. Living in the midwest and Wisconsin the only certainty with weather is the uncertainty. This jacket is warm when the wind chills hit -15 and confortable in 40 degrees. It's lighter than most sweaters I own. Great value for the $
I would recommend this product.

I've put this jacket through the ringer on a regular basis, everything from ice climbing to backcountry skiing and it's always been up the challenge. I've wrecked a North Face Nuptse and a couple of Patagucci jackets along the way but the MH Hunker Down is the only one that's lasted. Good stuff, especially for the price point.
I would recommend this product.

This jacket makes me want it to be colder outside. The abrasion resistance on the sleeves is excellent. The jacket is superbly warm, so unfortunately I am not often enough in weather cool enough to justify it. I take this jacket on every winter camping trip I do, but I never wear this for temperatures above 20*F. The fit is solid, but could use just a little more length for my 6'1" torso. That said, I am very happy with this coat.
I would recommend this product.
