I bought the jacket for a trip to Belize for use during their rainy season. The DryQ EVAP works better than my expectations. The climate there is hot and humid and my experiences with rain gear in the heat has been very clammy. This product greatly reduced that feeling and effectively eliminated the need for the pit zips. In my opinion, the new waterproof breathable works better in the heat than the old with the pit zips. The fit and ability to pack the garment are much better without the added weight and bulk of the pit zips.
I would recommend this product.

I'll get to my point: I live ~8,000' in Colorado. It's finally transitioning to spring and warmer temps and snow has changed to rain -perfect for a light rain shell. I hike Hunter Creek regularly in humid, cool and rainy mountain springtime weather wearing my new MH Plasmic - hood up.
The Plasmic is a really nice ultralight rain gear piece. It fits fairly close, which I like; it's pretty quiet material; and its hood is well-shaped (and holds its shape when wet) for such light material. It easily directs light-medium mountain rain away from my face at all trail angles. Its inner lining does help this type of shell feel dry-ish, managing egress heat/moisture transfer during average exertion in stride. I also think its pockets are a good size and angle. I like to wear fleece under it in on rainy mornings when it's still cold paired with med. wt. merino wool gloves in its pockets to wear or not.
So, it is kind of pricey for a simple, functional rain jacket to be sure. But so far it's performing very well in my use, which is a test prelude to carrying it (with corresponding pants) during summer/fall backpacking. Hopefully, I will then find it to be durable gear as well.
I would recommend this product.

This is a great light weight jacket. It is very basic, and all you need to stay dry in wet conditions. It also folds up really nice and small for expeditions. Enjoy.

After returning several other brand waterproof rain jackets (mainly due to poor sizing issues), I have very happily settled with the Plasmic! The day I purchased the jacket, it endured a heavy downpour for 30 minutes, and performed like expected; no clamminess or perspiration and completely dry. I am 5'7", 140 lbs, and the small is the perfect fit, slim, but not too slim, just enough room for some layering underneath. I recently tried TNF Venture jacket, which also had good reviews, but TNF small fits more like a Medium or Large, which swallowed me. I recommend the Plasmic to anyone who needs a high-performance waterproof jacket, whether urban biking, or trekking through the rainforest, this jacket will keep you dry and comfortable!
I would recommend this product.

I was a little apprehensive about purchasing the coat, with so little reviews. The coat, however, has been phenomenal. Recommend this product to anyone who needs a lightweight shell.
I would recommend this product.

I've had this jacket for a little over a month and have already worn it through some torrential downpours. I have to say I was a bit worried with how thin and light it was, but I was really surprised with how dry it keeps me and how comfortable it is to wear in the rain. I definitely recommend this jacket!

I've had this jacket for a few weeks now and it is quickly becoming my go to waterproof jacket. I haven't had that clammy feeling at all when I use it. Seems to consistently get the job done.
I would recommend this product.
