I spent a long time researching shells to wear both skiing and while working on the water during the winter. I finally ordered the Compulsion 3L in black.
As I expected at this price-point, this jacket is incredible. The construction is top-notch. It is lightweight but tough. Outside, it seals out the wind but breaths very well when I start working harder. I'm 6' 1" and 175 lbs. Based on the size charts I originally ordered the medium but ultimately needed the large. I hadn't properly factored in my mid-layer.
Two things that I could not tell from the pictures until I received the jacket: The ski pass pocket is on the bottom side of the arm. When I was eating at a restaurant and was seated near the door, I kept the jacket on, and the zipper tab kept dragging across my food. Not a biggie, and I'll just keep my jacket off at the table. The second is the logo on the arm and the hood looks orange to me in the picture but are actually neon orange.
My first shell was a Mountain Hardware, and it lasted 15 years before I passed it along. When I shopped for a shell I looked at almost all in this price-point, but came back to Mountain Hardware. A all-around great jacket.
I would recommend this product.

Mid area sizing

I was wondering how this jacket fits in the mid section? I have heard that the relaxed fit in some MH jackets is way too baggy in that area. Thanks
