I bought this pair of gloves for my husband for a ski trip. Although we never own any Mountain Hardware product before, I've heard it is a good brand and decided to give it a try. Well, after the ski trip, I regret for every penny spent on this product!
The gloves 'look' well made and true to size. But it's not warm AT ALL. The temperature was in the 40s on our first day of skiing. My husband already complained about his new gloves since his hands were cold and wet. I decided to try on myself and man he was right. After the entire Gondola ride, my hands were still cold in his gloves. The next two days temperature dropped to 10s with snow and wind. Needless to say, my husband suffered a great deal since his hands were numb and frozen all the time. We had to constantly stop and went into lodge for him to warm up his hands. This has really made skiing so unenjoyable.
When I compared this Snowzilla gloves with my other pair (different brand with Gore-tex material), I must say I have no faith in this Outdry technology. Also, I feel no insulation between the leather and my hand. So even the leather is supple and of good quality, it feels cold. Remember how cold the leather seat feels in winter when you first get in the car. The difference is that the hands inside the gloves never get warmed up in the end.
I got this Snowzilla gloves from other website. They provide good service and ship fast. But we can't exchange nor ask for refund as it is a closeout sale item. I choose to write the feedback here because the problem is the product itself and Mountain Hardware should address this issue. At the least it should not be recommended for alphine skiing/snowboarding. For us, we will use it for snow shoveling. What a waste of money!!
I do not recommend this product.
