I bought my bag about 2 1/2 years ago and LOVE IT! It's an awesome bag! I've slept directly on the snow (with no pad) in minus 16 degrees and stayed plenty warm and bone dry. In addition, the snow I laid on never melted, proving the insulation kept my body heat in the bag and the cold air out. The insulation is super-thick, yet light weight. The bag is also built well... rugged.
I would recommend this product.

This bag is pretty incredible. It is quite thick, meaning it really fluffy up. I still need to test it out in the colder months but the one night I took it out in the woods it did function perfect.
I hiked to a floating bog and laid done a tarp and a sleeping pad and went to sleep. Had a little rain but I was dry. I was so warm that at times I had to open it up to cool down. I will be doing some winter camping so more to come..
I would recommend this product.

Just got back from Mt McKinley using the MH Ghost sleeping bag for almost three weeks. We had the best and the worst weather during our trip (typical McKinley weather) and I was always toasty and dry in my Ghost bag. We had several nights at -20+ (F) and I felt like a hot dog in a microwave. The exterior is outstanding as it repels all moisture which during cold weather tends to be significant with substantial condensation inside the tent. Great high quality MH product.
I would recommend this product.

It is unlikely that I'll be taking my Ghost (Long) with me backpacking in the Winter time through Europe, but more than likely while Winter camp on the East Coast in the PA area.
Did you use any kind of ThermaRest with the Ghost? And, if you found yourself have to sleep with an extra layer on, how was the space?
Thanks.
Eric
