This footprint seems very well made and super durable. Just seems just a touch too big for the tent it was designed for but still very usable without any major problems or alterations. Another great product from Mountain Hardware for sure..

Footprint for SkyLedge 3 rips on first use

I initially was impressed with a paper like footprint that virtually weighs nothing. I setup the footprint on a trailer pad at a nearby campground. Only after one night and with not much use, I noticed the footprint had a small tear in it about the size of a dime. I looked closely at the ground underneath to see what could of caused the tear, but I was unable to find anything sharp or protruding. I am getting ready for a 7 day extensive backpack trip and I am worried that my tent is going to get wrecked unless I find a different footprint.
I do not recommend this product.

I spent some time researching tents, I was looking for a 3 season, 3 person tent that would fit our newborn, my wife, my eight year old and the dog (in the vestibule!). I also need a tent that would cut down on weight and be completely water proof should we be caught in a mountain storm. Every other 3 person tent I found weighed considerably more, and I have heard on numoerous occaisons that Mt Hardwear tents are extremely water proof. This tent fit all needs. I look forward to getting it out this summer !
