I am very impressed with this pack. It rides well so much so, I don't even notice it on my back. It is comfortable even on warm weather Hawaiian hikes I am doing now. The construction is sturdy as is all Mountain Hardware gear I have used over the years. I work as a guide in Alaska in the summer, and I am sure this pack will hold up on the many hikes I will be doing there too. It has two roomy compartments each easily assessable, the outer one with two padded slots for phone, GPS and other sensitive electronics. I also like the zipper pulls. Zippers are usually the first to go on packs and the zippers on the Salada are hefty and work well. The only addition I would have liked is one smaller outside pocket that zipper closes for those one or two items you want to get to quickly. But I know too many pockets on a pack are not advantageous requiring more searching for items. Great pack. Oh and I especially like the color: the deep wine red.
I would recommend this product.

I use this pack almost daily in summer on Admiralty National Monument, guiding day trips where I need to carry lots of stuff, including small items, and know where to find them quickly. The pockets and straps and panels on this day pack are perfect, and it is holding up to heavy use in wet weather.
