I’ve had my maroon colored Long Phantom 32 bag since the fall of 2004 and can’t say enough good things about the bag. As a mild-season hiker/camper I’ve used the bag over 200 times. That’s about 400 times in and out of its football sized stuff sack. The stuff sack is showing some minor wear and thread issues, but this bag is still in great shape and my favorite piece of gear. I’m 6’2” and with light poly top and tights, this is a 3+ season bag here in the northeast. An excellent purchase.
I would recommend this product.

Very comfortable bag and very light too. The stuff bag is a tad small so it takes a lot of effort to scrunch the bag up enuf to get it into the stuff bag. The bag itself if very well put together and the zip hardly ever snags the way it does with other bags.
I would recommend this product.

Found the right bag!

I am just over 6' and I got the long. --Perfect fit/roominess. Only 2 ounces more than short!! This bag is amazingly light, packs amazingly small, and somehow keeps it's warmth rating. I have 3 other bags, all synthetic. Though I like their ability to warm when wet, they are heavy and bulky compared to this (Big Agnes bags with pad sleeves for reduced weight even). Now I can take a little heavier tent with better waterproofing due to the lower weight of my bag (shaved almost two pounds!). I can also take my tiny, body-countoured ground pad since I now have insulation on the bottom side of my bag. This further saves me weight over my full Thermorest. I also must say that Mountain Hardwear customer service is second to none! I sent in another product for warranty and they gave me full credit due to an unrepairable design failure (Haven 2 tent). I am sold on MH--top notch outfit!

I picked up the Phantom32 in long after considering several other bags. All of them 700 fill down, 25-40 neighborhood. The footbox on the Phantom was a little more spacious for my 12.5 than some of the other mummies, which makes a difference to me as I tend to get into the fetal position at some point in the night. The biggest factor in deciding, and what I've been extremely pleased with, was/is the compressability and weight of the bag. I'm having NO problem getting it into a 9L compression bag. It opens my sleeping bag compartment up to take my hammock and rainfly as well.
