I got this amazing bag to accompany me on Denali this year and was super stoked to have it! I lived in the bag for three weeks both on and off the mountain and have been super surprised how versatile it is! On the mountain, the extra space in the bag allowed for my boot liners, water bottles, electronics and clothes to hang out comfortably while I slept, read, and hung out on bad weather days. Five nights at 17,200' with temps maxing out at 0 and bottoming out around -30, and only on the coldest of nights was the bag fully zipped and draft collar cinched. Most nights 3/4 zip or the foot box open was the norm due to the incredible warmth. The Ghost kept me warmer than my partner in an equivalent bag from another company. Each day the conduit fabric kept the lofty down dry from the snowing condensation accumulated on the tent walls. The bag was quick to dry in the tent each morning and seldom got stuffed with ice on it. Off the mountain in the hostel and on the banks of the Copper river the bag unzipped made a reasonable blanket that was super pleasant to sleep under. The zipper is the only tricky part of the bag, catching if not minded attentively. When considering with the quality of the conduit fabric, draft tube, and the loft of the down, very reasonable action. This bag was roasting warm while being water repellent, breathable and compressible. I look forward to winter camping and expeditions knowing that the Ghost is there to send me off to dream land!
