As noted in other reviews, the zipper is a complete fail. Period.
It's really that bad. If you google a review for this bag, you'll find my full analysis and some pictures.
That said, I've still used it on every trip in the past 6 months. Just gotten use to it getting stuck. Then, undoing it.
Now, I wouldn't put up with it on any other bag, but this is the lightest non-cottage industy sleeping bag with an EN lower limit of 32.
With the appropriate clothing, I've had this bag into the teens.
In the end, it's a tricky bag to rate. I mean granted, MH should not have put out a bag with such a zipper. But, it's completely doable, if you need the absolute lightest bag. If you don't, look elsewhere.
I would recommend this product.

I'm always looking to minimize the weight of my gear, so this bag jumped out at me when I first heard about it. I ordered it online since there were none in stock, and when I received it I was blown away by the light weight and quality materials. I thought it would be the best bag I've ever had - and I hoped so for the price.
However, the zipper is a complete failure. I can't zip or unzip without catching it on the lining. I've tried 50+ times and never ONCE did it go without catching. And when it catches, it's a whole process to free the zipper. What a shame.
I do not recommend this product.

The only bad think I have to say about the bag is that the zipper is a little delicate, it likes to jump track. Otherwise this bag is hands down my favourite bag I have ever used. Incredibly light as you already know, good compression ratio, and true to its temperature rating. I am 6'0" and the bag fits great with just a tiny bit of extra toe room (I was worried when I bought it, it would be too small). Additionally, it has survived a summer of use every single night (work as a backpacking guide) in all sorts of conditions, including getting wet a couple of times and is every bit as warm and comfortable as the day I bought it, if perhaps slightly smellier.
I would recommend this product.

This is a great bag for fast and light backpackers. I just got back from a week-longtrip in the high Beartooth mtns, sleeping under a tarp with temps down to freezing and it was just fine. At temps near or below freezing I wore a lightweight puffy, hat, long underwear and socks. The quality is very good. My only complaint is that the zipper snags very easily, which is avoidable with care. I'm 5'11", 165 lbs. and regular fit snugly but with enough room to comfortably wear extra clothes when needed. Highly recommended if you are an average to warm sleeper, expect a few nights to approach freezing temps, and want to shave weight and space in your pack.
I would recommend this product.

Carrying gear for an unplanned/emergency bivy has long been unattractive solely due to the bulk and weight of even the leanest sleeping bag. This thing balls up to the size of a pair of heavy socks and so changes the equation. I will be more at ease with a bivy sack AND some feathers in the pack just in case. I am guessing the hunter-orange color goes toward emergencies as well. Operationally day-to-day, you could get away with 35-40 degrees on the open ground. A subdued color version would be good. Some folk's survival could depend on NOT being found.
I would recommend this product.

I just used this bag for the first time this past weekend for temps in the 30s I would guess. I also slept in a bivy bag rather than a tent. The bag worked well and is exceptionally lightwt. I think i'll get a better feel for it when i use it in a tent which hopefully will be soon.
My only complaint is the stuff sack. I know Mtn HW wants it to be as small as possible but I think they went overboard on the stuff sack size. It's barely possible to push the bag completely into the sack and some of it shows out the top which is then suseptible to getting wet. Another 1/2 inch in length would have probably taken care of this and also allowed a waterproof flap on the sack which isn't there now because there's no room for it.
I would recommend this product.

Trial run was 2 May nights at 9000' in NVs Ruby Mts....sleeping next to the snowline. I kept too many layers on by not trusting the MH claims. Night #2 was perfect with only the lightest base layer, bivied on an inflatable and a groundcloth.
I would recommend this product.
