I have only used the Banshee sleeping bag once (only owned for a month) on a 3 night trip to the high desert of California at the end of winter. Weather was in the low 20’s, I had an insulated sleeping pad, small backpacking tent and the Banshee. I was so warm and toasty; typically I’m a cold sleeper. This is where the issue came into play and why I knocked off a point. I was so warm I wanted to unzip the bag but couldn't due to the zipper issues.
Everything you want and need in a quality sleeping bag, the Banshee delivers. The only issue is the zipper. Not only does it snag, it is almost impossible to zip up or zip down. I’m not sure if I got a bad zipper or it just needs to be worked in, but I had to crawl in and out of the bag to use it. While I was outside of the bag the first night, I zipped it up and left it that way for the rest of the 3 night trip. I’ll be contacting Customer Service to see what my options are in dealing with the zipper.
Other then the zipper the Banshee is awesome! Lots of loft, packs small, fits right, and just about bullet proof.
