I got this mainly for late Spring/Summer camping in areas where it still gets cool at night. It seems well made and packs fairly small, only slightly larger than a Nalgene. Although saying it's rated for 45 might be a bit much. Even with a hat and long johns I had to add a puffy coat to stay warm in mid 40 degree temps, but maybe I'm just a wimp. Still, with appropriate layering, it works great for the intended purpose.
I would recommend this product.

I recently stayed at Shenandoah Park and was using the bag for the first time. I am a hammock sleeper and even the temps were in the mid 40's, I stayed warm in the hammock. I didnt have a pad or underquilt so occasionally I did have a cold spot but thats with any bag in a hammock and not bottom insulation. Overall, the bag did its job!
I would recommend this product.

This bag is terrible. Would not recommend to anyone. Recently stayed in 43 degree overnight weather and froze my rear off. The zipper sticks on both sides. It's a shame MH products are quickly going downhill. Used to be a great product but obviously need to go elsewhere for a better bag.
I do not recommend this product.

This is a 45 degree bag, meaning that 45 degrees is on the lower extreme of temperatures the bag is designed for, so you were technically past the bag's temp limit. Try adding a liner for those colder nights, they can add 10-15 degrees to your bag.
