This is a great tent and used it backpacking the Kalalau Trail in Kauai. I had the Tent up in less than 3 minutes and breakdown was faster. In the sand and wind, the fly worked wonderful as a shade and the netting kept sand and bugs out at night.
I would definitely recommend purchasing the footprint for this tent along with sand anchors for the corners, this came in handy during the swift breezes and anchored the tent securely.
There was plenty of room for 2 Men including backpacks and gear, never a cramped feeling at all.
This is a quality product and will be used for years to come.
I would recommend this product.

I replaced a older Marmot tent and got lucky finding this inside an REI store that was returned and placed on a shelf that no body ever saw , so i got it at their lowest price. I do a lot of Colorado and national park mountain climbing.
So far I used this tent for 6 days hiking through Glacier NP. It rained everyday , it held the water at bay no leaks. other people we ran into were popping their vestibule or soaking water out of their tents , we were dry as can be. It is a little heavier than I would like for a hiking tent , but an extra 1.5 lbs is worth it for the comfort it provided. We were only 2 people and had tons of room in it. Super easy to set up and quick to tear down.
Rating 4 stars for 2 reasons.
1 - the weight is a tad heavy for my uses and maybe that snot what it was intended for but when i look up backpacking tents this one comes up so i think it is fair.
2 - the netting on the door and windows seemed to be bunched together or stuck together. I called MTN Hardware and was told this is normal . I hope it is.
I kept the tent after statement 2 only because Customer service told me they stand by their products for their expected life of the product.
I would recommend this product.

I was finally found a weekend to take my tent out this summer. I am 6'5 230lbs and found that I was able to sleep comfortably in this tent, even with my wife sleeping right beside me. We might even have room to fit our (soon to be) little guy in-between us next summer. The tent also fits well in my Osprey Atmos pack, pole separated and strapped to the outside of the pack. Good tent, I hope to find some more time to use it this coming year.
I would recommend this product.

I purchased this tent for an expedition to Mongolia. The tent was pitched for roughly 30 days and withstood the test of time quite well. Roughly 5/6 days of rain at one point but the insides stayed high and dry. We were protected from wind so I can not fully commit as to its durability there but for the most part the tent is pretty stout.
I would recommend this product.

My wife Suzy and I love this tent. We have a 70lbs. dog and a 2 year old. We often go back country to avoid the crowds. This tent is light enough to carry on a long hike and dependable enough to take Sylas our 2yr old.
I can set it up aloan with no problem. The fact that it is not self standing is helpful in winds since standing it up can be the last step. Only a problem when you have a hard ground which will not take the lighter stakes.
With help it can be set up in a few minutes.
I would recommend this product.
